Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, “Put every man his sword by his side (thigh), and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.” - Exodus 32:27
Quoted from The Companion Bible (Burgundy Bonded Leather, Thumb Indexed)
- Thou Shalt Not Kill
Broken by the massacre of the Canaanites and others. - Thou Shalt Not Steal
Broken when they robbed the cities. - Not Covet the Property of a Neighbor
Broken when the very land was confiscated.
Antiqued Chester Wall Clock with Pendulum
Probably we’re free to harm others? If you’re not a member of my society, May I freely steal your money or confiscate your property? It seems like that’s the way it works though I don’t like that way…
Love is good, love is better than hate but we have a problem here: If there’s love, there must be hate. If there’s hate, there must be love also. These two are connected. If you’re in love now, I’m sure that You’ll be in hate later. Imagine yourself like a pendulum, like lower part of a wall clock… You go right, you go left. You love, and you hate.
It’s weird to say that there’s nothing called time, but it is. Time is a delusion that we perceive as long as we live. There’re two ways to stop hate:
1. Love as much as you can. This kind of love means that you have to stick right or left side. Remember our pendulum metaphor. You may have seen that if you want to keep sticking one side, left or right, you’ll need much more energy to stabilize your position. No one has that much energy… But good luck
2. Flow. No need to love so no need to hate. Just flow. Just be yourself. Flow and time will disappear so the pendulum will disappear also. You won’t notice a thing called time anymore. What do I mean by saying “be yourself”? Watch yourself. Find an empty and calm room, don’t think, just watch yourself, at some point, you’ll hear your inner voice as slight impulses. If you feel that you need to stand up, quickly stand up without hesitance. If you feel that you need to listen a song, quickly go and listen it. If you feel that you’re hungry, it doesn’t important how much, quickly go to kitchen, start to eat something you like. Don’t hesitate, that’s the key. And if you feel to quit listening or eating or anything you do, stop it. You don’t have to do it, just quit. If you could live your life this way, time would disappear and you wouldn’t need to love or hate.
