Who is Linda Stein?

Linda Stein is a former schoolteacher who is most recognized for managing the Ramones with Danny Fields. Stein also managed Steve Forbert and the Deal (80’s).

She was formerly married to Seymour Stein, president of Sire Records and vice president of Warner Bros. Records who is responsible for the careers of Madonna, The Ramones, and The Talking Heads.

In the 90’s, Stein left band management and became a “real estate agent to the stars.” The real estate agent who finds an apartment for the Charlie Sheen character in Wall Street (film) was said to be based on Linda Stein.

What Happened?

Linda Stein was found beaten to death in her Fifth Avenue penthouse late Tuesday night at age 62.
She was having suffered blunt force injuries to her head and neck, the apparent victim of an assault, according to police and the medical examiner.
A suspect has not been identified, police officials said.
An autopsy determined she died from blows to the head and neck.
