Capcom just dropped the bombshell today. Street Fighter 4 is confirmed in development! No, this is not Super Ultimate Street Fighter III Turbo Charged Annihilator Type S Edition–this is the real deal.

Games Radar reports today, at Capcom’s Gamer Day in UK, that Street Fighter 4 is in now development with a release date more than a year away. Details on an arcade release or which platform it will come to are still unknown at this time.

Doom Director Signed for New Street Fighter Movie

Director Andrzej Bartkowiak- who directed the classic Doom movie based on the game, has been signed on by Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom to direct the movie iteration of Capcom’s Street Fighter game series. The production is set to start in early 2008.
