Yang’s father, Yang Guoqiang, started his company Biguiyuan in 1997 and the rise was meteoric. The Biguiyuan Group was listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 2007. Lee Shau Kee and Cheng Yu-Tung, two of Yang’s townmates (Their native places are in Shunde), bought 1 billion of Biguiyuan IPO stocks respectively. He transferred his stock to his daughter.
